The highlights

John Waters in Phoenixville
John Waters brings his live stage show to the region once again on February 7, and while the show in Phoenixville is sold out, a pair of Waters’ films are showing the day before: 1974’s Female Trouble, and the 2007 movie musical version of Hairspray, which Waters didn’t direct, although he does cameo in the opening musical number as a flasher.

Film Society’s When Two Become One
It’s a really wonderful programming idea: For the month of Valentine’s Day, the Film Society is cultivating a series of films from the likes of Ingmar Bergman, Robert Altman, Spike Jonze, John Woo, and many more, featuring “films about obsession, stalking, mind-melding, and more”—named for the Spice Girls song “2 Become 1.”
