Pig Iron’s hit "Twelfth Night" comes to FringeArts

Kick off the holidays with some randy drunks, rollicking music and a good measure of gender confusion. No, it’s not the office Christmas party. Before the Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe’s rebirth as FringeArts, Pig Iron Theatre Company wowed 2011 audiences with Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, or What You Will at Suzanne Roberts Theater. Now, FringeArts’ year-round arts venue, just underneath our side of the Ben Franklin Bridge, is reviving the show. Rosie Langabeer’s live original Balkan-inspired tunes follow the characters through Pig Iron’s trademark acrobatics. Director Dan Rothenberg (of this year’s popular Pay Up revival) resurrects the show with original cast members including Dito van Reigerberg, James Sugg, Alex Torra and many others.

December 4th – December 22nd (opening night Friday, December 6th) at FringeArts, 104 N. Columbus Boulevard. Recommended for ages 15 and up. For tickets ($25-$59), call 215-413-1318 or visit fringearts.ticketleap.com.
