In Jersey native Joseph Paprzycki’s play, inspired by the writer’s own travels between Camden and Trenton, a commuter train stalls deep in a tunnel. Trapped underground, the riders begin to tell each other more than they ever thought they’d share with strangers. Early promotions for the show hit trouble when NJ Transit objected to the use of word “RiverLine” in any of the materials or set. As Paprzycki told the Courier Post earlier this month, he was surprised his script made the agency so nervous. But the playwright (also the company’s producing artistic director) acquiesced — you won’t find the word “RiverLine” here.

South Camden Theatre Company’s EXPRESS TRACKS, written by Joseph M. Paprzycki and directed by Lee Kiszonas, is running through January 26th at the Waterfront South Theatre, 400 Jasper Street in Camden. Tickets are $20 (with a special price of $5 for anyone with proof of residency in Camden, NJ). Recommended for mature audiences. For tickets and more information, call 1-866-811-4111 or visit www.southcamdentheatre.org.
