Ensemble HD is a group of Cleveland Orchestra musicians who woo new audiences by playing in a beer hall. They’ll be playing in the Benjamin Franklin Hall of the American Philosophical Society when they make their Philadelphia debut. But the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society says a beer tasting, with beer from a local brewery, will be part of the festivities. As for the music itself, the nine composers listed on the program range from mainstreamers like Debussy and Benjamin Britten to radicals like Varèse and Hungarian individualists like Kodaly.

The Philadelphia Chamber Music Society will present “Cabaret: Art Music and War in Europe” on Sunday, February 21 at 4pm at the Benjamin Franklin Hall of the American Philosophical Society, 427 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia. Tickets are $18 and they’re available online, by calling 215-569-8080, and at the door.

Please note the adjusted time for this event: an earlier version of this article listed a 6pm start time; the concert is now scheduled for 4pm.
