R Eric Thomas BSR 4 20 22

Hey, you know R. Eric Thomas? From the internet? Well, he’s coming to this side of the interwebs. On Wednesday, May 25, 2022, 7pm ET, Broad Street Review welcomes bestselling author and playwright R. Eric Thomas for an evening conversation with associate editor Kyle V. Hiller to talk about his upcoming book Kings of B’more, playwriting, pop culture, and more.

The virtual event, held on Zoom, is pay-what-you-wish with a suggested donation of $5. Those who donate $10 or more between now and May 25, and select the associated box on our donation page, will be entered into a raffle to win an autographed copy of Kings of B’more. We’re a nonprofit, and your donations help support our staff and keep BSR publishing! If you can’t attend the show live, a recording will be available to stream on-demand afterwards for everyone who donates by May 25. Here's the RSVP link!

Thomas is a television writer (Dickinson, Better Things), playwright (Backing Track, The Ever Present), and the national bestselling author of Here For It, or, How to Save Your Soul in America; Reclaiming Her Time: The Power of Maxine Waters (with Helena Andrews-Dyer, Dey Street), and the forthcoming YA novel Kings of B’More. He writes a humor newsletter and a weekly essay on pop culture and nostalgia.

We can't wait to see you at this BSR special event!
