The HELP US HELP YOU arts PR webinar is back for 2026!
Just in time for Philly artists to assemble their materials for the 2026 Fringe Festival and the new season, we're running another live session of our popular online class, HELP US HELP YOU: The PR Webinar for Artists from BSR. It's coming up on Wednesday, July 22 at 6:30pm ET on Zoom. All are welcome.
HELP US HELP YOU takes you inside the editor’s inbox, with real-life examples that show you the do’s and don’ts of arts PR. We have tips on prepping your outreach, six specific things journalists or editors need when you request coverage, advice for building a good relationship whether or not you score coverage this time, and lots more. This fun session is all about a clear and useful toolbox for promotions that you can start using right away, taught by an editor who’s been in the arts journalism business for almost 20 years.
The session concludes with an open Q&A featuring a friendly and knowledgeable local panel: marketing and public relations specialist Grayce Carson, award-winning independent journalist Alisha Miranda, and Theatre Philadelphia executive director Darnelle Radford. Bring your questions right to the experts! Register here.
Yes, this session (happening via Zoom) will be recorded, so everyone who registers can join the class live or later, though we recommend joining live so you can take advantage of the Q&A panel and the fun of a live event. Tickets are a suggested donation of $30, but nobody will be turned away for lack of funds. See the event page for details. And we have a special honor-code discount for Philly Fringe artists! Enter the promo code FRINGE at checkout and get $10 off your ticket.
BSR readers can save our 2026 Fringe coverage!
The 2026 HELP US HELP YOU webinar is part of BSR’s first-ever Fringe Coverage Friends Drive. Our annual Fringe Festival coverage is a huge project, and it’s so important both to readers who need a guide to the festival, and artists who benefit from having their work shared and documented in the press. But we can’t do it this year without some new Friends, who make an annual donation to BSR of at least $72 (or an automatic monthly donation of $6). All Friends of BSR will get a free ticket to HELP US HELP YOU, so if you’ve been meaning to start supporting us, now is a great time!
