Hankering for a taste (or many tastes) of Philly’s best street food, along with 15,000 of your closest friends? You’re in luck. The Food Trust’s 15th Night Market is coming to West Philly on August 14, along with a great local music lineup.

For the uninitiated, Night Market is a street food festival that’s been roaming the city since 2010, featuring ethnic and regional restaurants and oodles of food trucks. It draws a crowd. You might wait 30 minutes in line for a slice of Margherita pizza, but it may be in the top two or three of your best Margherita slices ever.

Admission to the fest is free, and the August Night Market is happening on Lancaster Avenue at 35th Street.

“This location is a true representation of Night Market’s mission, to spotlight a unique, diverse, vibrant and up-and-coming neighborhood of Philadelphia that some folks might not have explored,” the Food Trust says.

Food Trust staffers themselves, including executive director Yael Lehmann, will be providing some entertainment. Lehmann’s band, Happy Accident, will be playing, along with KillerWhale, Minka, Joie Kathos, and West Philly hip-hop artist Chill Moody. The West Philadelphia Orchestra will also be appearing onstage, as well as roving the crowd with its players.

The Food Trust’s 15th Night Market is coming to Lancaster Avenue and 35th Street in West Philadelphia on Thursday, August 14 from 6-10pm. Admission is free, and food is available for purchase from participating trucks and restaurants. For more information, visit The Food Trust's website.
