You can be confident you’re going to hear exceptionally talented young musicians when you take in an Astral Artists performance. Astral subjects young artists to a highly competitive process and rewards the winners with performance opportunities and other forms of career help. Astral’s concert on April 6 should be an especially likeable event. Cellist Lionel Cottet will be joined by an Argentine tango specialist, guitarist Federico Díaz, and the program will feature divertimentos, suites, and tango music by five composers noted for their ability to divert and charm: Luigi Boccherini, Sigmund Romberg, Franz Schubert, Manuel de Falla, and the supreme tango master Astor Piazzolla.

Astral Artists presents the Lionel Cottet Philadelphia Recital Debut, Sunday April 6 at 3pm at the Trinity Center for Urban Life, 22nd and Spruce Streets, Philadelphia. Tickets are $20 ($18 for seniors and $5 for students). For more information, call 215-735-6999 or visit AstralArtists.org.
