Mira Kaplan (she/her) is a Philly-based music and arts writer and arts administrator.

Mira Kaplan received her B.A in Urban Studies and Art History at UPenn and since has explored the ways in which art and culture are tools for civic engagement. She is a passionate storyteller always in search of non-hegemonic narratives, stories that are forgotten, neglected, or overlooked. Whether it’s exploring the history of a former jazz club or thinking about the acoustic ecology of a neighborhood space, she always has her ears open, a pen in hand, and a thoughtful question to pursue. Mira currently lives in Fairmount with her adopted cat Petunia from PAWS.
