Leonard Boasberg was a staff writer and editorial writer the <em>Philadelphia Inquirer</em> from 1971 to 2001. There he won seven awards for his editorials, and later reported on the arts. His articles and reviews appeared in the <em>Los Angeles Times,</em> the <em>Chicago Tribune</em>, the <em>Cleveland Plain Dealer</em>, and the <em>Reader's Digest,</em> among other publications. He lived for more than 40 years in Strafford, Pa., with his wife, Lore.

Leonard Boasberg died October 9, 2012 at the age of 89.
