Jared Michael Lowe (he/him) is a writer born and based in Philadelphia. His writing on the arts, fashion, beauty, sexuality, gender, race, and popular culture has appeared in NBC News, Cosmopolitan, Teen Vogue, The Huffington Post, and EBONY Magazine.

Jared Michael Lowe is a writer, communications strategist, and creative consultant. His writing on the arts, fashion, beauty, sexuality, gender, race, and popular culture has appeared in NBC News, Cosmopolitan, Teen Vogue, The Huffington Post, and EBONY Magazine.

From 2010 to 2016, he was the founding editor of LoweFactor.com, a digital curatorial experience for the savvy urbane millennial, which won numerous awards and received citations from The New York Post, ESSENCE and Okayplayer.

Previously, Lowe has worked as a journalist, social-media editor, creative producer, and cultural arts administrator for a host of media, entertainment, academic, and arts and culture organizations, including BET, Hearst Magazines, Temple University, and WHYY. A sought-after thought leader and public speaker, he has given talks and moderated panels on community writing, journalism practices, social media, and arts and culture for Princeton University, the University of Pennsylvania, and during Philly Tech Week.

Lowe holds a Master’s of Science in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Kutztown University. He currently lives in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia with his partner Elliot.
