Jennifer Zarro is an art historian, writer, educator, and occasional still-life painter. A native of Philadelphia, her work focuses on both the historic and contemporary art of her city. Jennifer has taught art history at area colleges and universities; most recently she coordinated a course about race and identity in the art of the U.S. and the Americas at Tyler School of Art. Her reviews and writing have been published in the Women’s Art Journal, the Artstor Blog, theartblog.org, and other venues. She writes and practices artmaking in a small room on the third floor of her Mt. Airy home which is surrounded by an award winning garden.
