David Feela is a poet, freelance columnist, writing instructor, and book collector. For 11 years he served as a contributing editor and columnist for Inside/Outside Southwest. Currently, he writes monthly columns for the Four Corners Free Press and the Durango Telegraph. A chapbook of poetry, Thought Experiments (Maverick Press), won the Southwest Poet Series, and a selection of his poetry is forthcoming in a second volume of The Geography of Hope: Poets of Colorado’s Western Slope through Conundrum Press. His first full-length poetry collection, The Home Atlas (WordTech Editions, 2009), is currently available through the publisher and online. His collection of essays, How Delicate These Arches (Raven’s Eye Press, 2012), was chosen as a finalist in creative nonfiction for the Colorado Book Awards.
