It's another busy weekend in Philly as we roll into unofficial summer. The ODUNDE festival takes over South Philly and beyond in its 51st year, and our preview this week profiles the history—and the future—of the long-running staple. Then, BalletX gets ready for its Festival at the Highmark Mann, still a newer tradition as it enters its fifth year but it feels like it's one of those celebrations you've come to expect in the city. A new fest debuts in the spirit of Pride this month, and we review The Piano Lesson from Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival.
We've also got our classical music and dance roundups for the month in addition to the weekly roundup, which has some selections that might otherwise fly under your radar.
Despite it all, be sure to find time to celebrate this world.
