December is here—can you believe it? Somehow, every year, it comes as a surprise. It's been a doozy of a year, for sure, and as we come up to the end of it, how are we feeling about the holiday season? I know everyone doesn't celebrate, and not everyone holds the best feelings about this time of year (it's complicated for me, too—I know how it can go), but there's something about the finality of December that gets me thinking more than anything else. What all have we gone through, in our own lives and along with the people in our small worlds, and also what we've gone through as a community or society. I'm entering December with the hopes of finding time for reflection and remembering amongst the holiday chaos cheer, and start the new year ready for all the new nonsense 2026 will bring.
