The whole BSR team, including dozens of our writers, have been preparing for our first-ever Book Week for months, and we're thrilled to finally share it with you. Book reviews have taken over our homepage, we've published our first roundup of books by BSR writers, and we're looking forward to Thursday night's virtual BSR Book Chat. There's still time to RSVP, and take your rightful place among the book nerds.
Plus, the timing was great to partner with the Wilma Theater and Theatre Communications Group Books for the publication launch of a little play by James Ijames which you might have heard about over the last year. We're proud to be the media sponsor of the FAT HAM book launch, happening at the Wilma this Monday (July 17). It's free to attend (in person or via our livestream), but there are paid ticket tiers that let you nab a signed copy of the play or attend a VIP reception with the playwright.
Friends of BSR (our monthly donors) already know all about it -- we have a special drawing this week, just for Friends, for a free pair of VIP tickets (a $100 value). If you become a Friend today (starting at $5/month), you'll be eligible for the drawing, which we'll hold during the Thursday Book Chat (you don't have to be present to win, but we'd love to see you!).
On to the book reviews!
