Next week, the 2025 Philadelphia Fringe Festival kicks off, with over 300 shows, performances, and events filling out this year's roster. This year feels abundant, and along the way, I noticed some familiar titles. Some of these performances were beyond their first run, which isn't unusual in itself. But I found myself wondering: how have these returning shows grown since the beginning of the pandemic? How have the last five years or so impacted the scene here? What has changed? What's new? And most importantly, how are we all doing through all this? That is the focus of this week's roundup, which highlights Fringe entries that I think will offer perspective on just how things have actually changed since the beforetimes.
What are you seeing this year? Let us know!
