July is one of those months that, no matter how careful you are, can really sneak up on you. With plenty of buzz surrounding Philly with America 250, the World Cup, the MLB All-Star Game (I'm sure I'm missing other things), it feels like so much is crammed into the month. It can be hard to keep up! Especially if you melt in the humid summers of Philadelphia like I tend to every year. There's still plenty of July left, too, and plenty to keep an eye out for.
This week's roundup features two impactful film festivals, a play where one of the main characters is a tree (a real one, no less), and new plays in development to keep an eye out. Then, be sure to check out our PR webinar next week, as we discuss the present and the future of arts and culture journalism in Philly.
Hope to see you all around soon!
