The aftermath of this election is a good time to restate our values at BSR. We love diversity of opinion and that has always powered BSR. But our team shares the same underlying values: that we all deserve equality, safety, and dignity. If this election surprised us or makes us reflective, let's first and foremost reflect on how we're going to include and protect the people who need it the most throughout another Trump term.
This week, we're reviewing the latest at the PMA, Stoppard at Delaware's Resident Ensemble Players, the American premiere of Moreno at InterAct, and more. Plus, we visit coast-to-coast media veteran Gabriel Coan in his new Fairmount Avenue record shop, which opened less than two weeks ago.
Looking ahead, we're a little more than a week out from our latest webinar, all about PR for arts and culture folks. It'll be a great session for anyone who needs a PR 101 class with real-life examples, and anyone who wants a behind-the-scenes look at how the arts journalists at BSR work. It's happening Thursday, November 21 at 6:30pm ET on Zoom, and the session will be recorded for everyone who registers. Tickets are a suggested $25 donation to BSR (there's a pay what you can option if you can't swing that). RSVP here. We hope to see you!
We recognize that the last week has probably been really difficult for a lot of us -- especially cis women and queer and trans folks, disabled folks, Jewish people, immigrant families, and anyone else targeted by MAGA rhetoric or policies. We hope you can grieve in good company, rest, stay grounded, protect your peace, and keep moving. You matter. We need every one of you. Thanks for being part of the BSR community.
