I don’t know about you, but there hasn’t been much “going out” these last few days. Here’s to hoping that this summer heat cools down a bit and we can begin to tap into what the city has to offer this season—without risking our health.
This week, we discuss Duet for One, a new book from Philly’s own Martha Anne Toll. This new novel uses Toll’s personal history as a musician all over Philadelphia to string together a story that mourns the passing of lifetimes—through the death of a loved one and the finality of a music career. We profile Toll’s story while previewing the book.
Then, we’ve outlined July’s dance performances, with Chocolate Ballerina Company, BalletX, and many more taking the stages throughout the city. And of course, there’s this week’s roundup.
Stay cool, Philly!
