Or any flower, really.
I try to stop whenever I see a flower or plant that catches my eye. It’s a great way to take a deep breath, collect yourself in the midst of your movement to wherever you’re going, and appreciate the little things. The little things are the big things, depending on how you look at them.
With the Flower Show coming up, there’s definitely something in the air. Spring is right around the corner. But the Show isn’t the only place to stop and smell the flowers, as An Nichols gives us a fantastic curated list of places you can hop on over to do (re)connect with the Earth. From gardens in West Philly to trails beyond the Wissahickon, there are plenty of places to get close with our earthly green friends.
We’re also debuting our new monthly dance column, curated by Camille Bacon-Smith, who’s been covering the dance scene for us for quite some time. It’s important for us at BSR that we cast a spotlight on as many creative people, organizations, and groups as we can, and we want to bring more of that light onto Philly’s diverse, vibrant dance community.
And with the month closing out, we’ve got movies for March and the final February weekly roundup.
I’m hitting you with all the lists this week! A perfect chance for you to start outlining your social life as we inch towards the equinox.
Happy blossoming, Philly!
