I’ve been kind of disenchanted by American holidays lately. Independence Day looms around the corner, but it feels strange celebrating independence in this country. And it hasn’t been “these days,” it’s always been strange, but I’m not going to go on a diatribe about all the holes this country has poked within itself. I’ll spare you the bah-humbug for now, but I hope this coming week you’re able to find your own little freedoms.
For me, coming off of my Juneteenth break, I’ve been actively embracing the little things, the tiny victories, and the small details to give solace whenever I need it the most. Maybe something in this week’s roundup will help you do the same?
