This week, we preview Night Side Songs from Philadelphia Theatre Company and the minds of Daniel and Patrick Lazour. The performance (which we're also reviewing, so be sure to keep a look out for that next week) explores the intimacy of illness, mortality, and dignity of caregivers through the story of Yasmine Holly, a fictional character informed by interviews with real doctors, hospital staff, and patients from Philadelphia and beyond, giving a musical voice to people who are often not given the chance to offer their song.
Then, we've also got more classical music happening to close out February, and this week's roundup features new exhibitions, a mini-festival with plays you may have missed, and a chance to play board games with your friends and your friendly, neighborhood dinosaurs.
Be good, Philly.
