I needed that break! Our whole team did. But we've hit the ground running with the first reviews of the year: new shows at the Museum for Art in Wood ("Which ones are exemplary people? Which ones are swindlers, liars, or grumps?"), the Fabric Workshop and Museum ("this is what happens when creatives collaborate"), and a visit to City Hall. Writer An Nichols heads to a special exhibition spotlighting the UArts community, organized by City Councilmember Rue Landau and Creative Philadelphia. It runs through January 25, and it's free.
And ICYMI, I'll also highlight the BSR Year-End Recommend, which is packed with book, movie, TV, newsletter, music, and podcast suggestions from our staff, as well as a list of my favorite books of 2024. We on the BSR team love to swap recs, and we hope you enjoy these too if you're looking for something new in 2025.
Kyle will be with you tomorrow to kick off your weekend calendar, and looking ahead to the rest of January, we're excited to bring you reviews of the latest at the PMA, the Arden, AAMP, and lots more. Thanks for starting another year with us! Did you know 2025 is BSR's 20th anniversary? How do you think we should mark the occasion?
