For the first time in more than three years, after variety of successful virtual events, the BSR team is getting together with our supporters in person next week over food and drinks in the best kind of event: no program, just time spent together having the conversations we enjoy. This is an event for BSR staff, writers, and our monthly Friends of BSR donors. If you've been feeling moved to join the growing ranks of our top supporters (starting at just $5/month), this is a great time to do it. See you next week?
This week, we have only one theater review (for a change) -- Curio's Complete Deaths -- and some top-notch writing on other genres, including a non-visual dance installation at ICA Philly and more traditional gallery shows. We're also excited to share a story that's been in the works a long time, spotlighting the people whose often-invisible efforts are responsible for bringing us the many notable international artists who grace Philly's stages. Inviting an artist from another continent is one thing, but convincing USCIS to let them in is a whole other story. How does it happen?
We're glad spring is officially here, and we look forward to bringing you coverage of the rest of the exciting 2022-23 season.
