It’s that time of year! (Well, sort of…thanks, climate change). It’s cherry blossom time, and the Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center’s celebration is in full-effect. Cherry blossom time for me is often a time for reflection on the winter and all its strides, trials, and lessons. I’ll be checking out the cherry blossoms myself, absorbing the chilly few months behind us and considering how I want all that to blossom in the spring and summer.
We’ve also got this month’s movie repertory lined up, and a variety of events in the roundup that make space for reimagining and reinterpretation for the sake of expressing and creating better futures for many communities.
