It's Black History Month! So of course, this week's roundup features a handful of BHM events—virtual and in-person—to get you started. Then, the cinemas are opening up their doors to cinephiles who have long been deprived of the big screen as you can see in this month's movie repertory. The rep also has a healthy dose of joints starring the late, great Sidney Poitier, who passed away in early January.
Keep a lookout for the emerging stars at Filament, a chamber ensemble formed in 2019 here in Philly. They'll be performing a new concert this weekend—be sure to check it out!
