It’s another quiet and peaceful week in America, where humane leaders say sensible things and strive for everyone’s wellbeing, regardless of race, gender, health, wealth, or immigration status.
Don’t we all wish.
Inauguration Day got me thinking about the ways surviving the average American week in 2025 might leave you feeling like your brain is really struggling. As someone in lifelong treatment for a mood disorder, I know how this feels. And the things I have learned to maintain my own stability may help you in this moment, even if we don't share a diagnosis.
In other news, we're covering Shaheed Rucker at AAMP, Naoto Fukasawa at the PMA, Driving Miss Daisy at the Walnut Street Theatre, and more. Kyle will be with you tomorrow, and maybe by next week, the temperature will get back up to freezing. Stay warm, Philly! The days are getting a little bit longer.
