We never stop emphasizing that independent, professional local arts coverage is important and increasingly hard to find. But one thing that strikes me over and over is the sheer skill and dedication of our writers. Not just their clear, inviting, evocative prose. But the deep knowledge (or research) that adds critical context, or pushes crucial questions that others aren't asking. Week after week, I'm in awe of their understanding, their dexterity, and their love for the art forms they critique.
