If you had told me that in February, I’d be celebrating a Super Bowl win in Philly on Valentine’s Day, I’d absolutely believe you. That’s right, I’m not surprised one bit that we won, and like I said in my editorial last week, Philadelphia needed a win. Sometimes all it takes is one to inspire someone to keep the train going. With the buzz that’s sparked the city, that inspiration could lead elsewhere. We’ll need the inspiration to work out all the real world things, you know?
For the other things happening in Philly this week, we’ve got a preview of Lost Lear, a take on Shakespeare’s King Lear that brings a perspective to the story that we likely haven’t seen before. Then, we check out Skin of the Bride, a mural exhibition that has been a journey to preserve. And this week’s roundup features a few Valentine’s Day picks—and much more for those who may not be celebrating.
Be safe, Philly! And until next year, Go Birds!
