We’re on a publishing hiatus for a few more days as we rest up for another round of exciting happenings: festivals galore, season openers, and everything else that comes with a transition to fall.
We first instituted a summer break for ourselves back in 2020. Our dedicated staffers, while technically part-time, pour a lot of energy and hours into learning about and covering the region’s arts scene. Your financial support is crucial to our operation, with your dollars going directly to pay local journalists.
Let’s take a glimpse at some of what BSR has accomplished in Summer 2023 – projects that make us proud of our creative and collaborative spirit, and broaden the BSR community.
At the end of May, we brought you The Power of Food Media, a thoughtful conversation with top local journalists at the beautiful Indy Hall Clubhouse. Now, it’s available for everyone to listen to on the BSR podcast. Big congratulations are in order for panelist Kae Lani Palmisano who recently became Food Editor at Philadelphia Magazine.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be kicking off the region’s most comprehensive Fringe Festival coverage, but we can’t do it without your help. If you make a one-time donation of $60 or contribute $5 a month, you'll be a Friend of BSR, which gains you the opportunity to take advantage of special giveaways and event access. Sharing our work also helps us keep doing the work we do and build new opportunities for our staff, readers, and partners—like you.
