     Your article re: the Philadelphia Orchestra is encouraging (Editor’s Notebook).
     I was a faithful Philadelphia Orchestra subscriber for seven years prior to the opening of Verizon Hall.  I carefully refined my seat location in the Academy of Music until I found the first balcony row on the strings side (normal to clefs), my favorite spot for visual and acoustics.
     My seating reassignment in Verizon Hall was so mishandled, I cancelled my subscription.  I have not experienced a live Philadelphia Orchestra performance since.
     I wonder how many other subscribers were alienated for the same reason.
