Margaret Darby received her bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Davidson College. She received her masters in interpretation from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She worked in Brussels as a freelance interpreter using French, German, and Italian and specializing in meetings on anthracite coal mining. She later returned to the United States and earned a degree in library science at Drexel University. She worked as both a reference librarian in New Castle County, Delaware and as a school librarian in Cecil County, Maryland.
She was a founding member of the writing team for Delaware Arts Info. She has contributed to Local Arts Live, The Wilmington News Journal, and the Newark Post. She has just moved to Center City Philadelphia where she enjoys playing chamber music. She has recently started working on her languages after neglecting them for many years and is learning humility by studying Mandarin.
